Finding the festival that best suits your music taste can be difficult at times, so we have done all the thinking for you.

Parklife is based in Heaton Park, Manchester and offers a range of different singers, bands and DJs in every genre you could find. It is more commonly known to focus on rap, hip-hop and pop but has broadened the types of artists you can see. Aside from it being a great festival to attend, the location isn’t far to Manchester city centre where you can be a tourist for the day.

Hideout festival is based in Croatia meaning it ticks both the holiday and festival boxes. This comes with a great atmosphere as everyone soaks up the sun and good music. Many end up staying longer than expected, exploring Croatia and all it has to offer.

Tomorrowland in Belgium is one of the biggest electronic dance music festivals from the 14th to the 21st of March. Unlike the others mentioned, Tomorrowland is electronic specific with only that type of music being played therefore is great for someone who only wants to go to a festival for that.

Coachella is one of the most popular festivals especially for Instagram influencers and celebrities based in California. The price to attend is expensive compared to others but allows for travelling across California. It also has delicious food, beer and even games to play while waiting for your favourite artist to perform.

– Puffed Sleeves are one that has already made a move into high street stores and online with many already seeming to enjoy the trend. Items like these are essential in your wardrobe as they are suitable for a usual boring day or a night out.

– Embroidery is also seen to be making an appearance whether that’s on a top or even detailed on your basic mom jean. These are a perfect breathable fabric which is great for when the weather starts to heat up in time for spring and summer.

– Mesh is always a hit and has been a reoccurring trend the past few years. Clothing like this can be used for any occasion and is often worn at festivals and concerts.

– Neon is something that was seen last summer but is making its return with more highlighter clothing and accessories set to dominate stores around the world.

– Blazers are a staple in all wardrobes and a great alternative to denim and leather jackets. These are light and airy, giving a more spring look and overall better suited to the warm weather to come.

Valentines Day Date Ideas

Valentine’s Day is the one day of the year dedicated to showing your significant other just how much you appreciate them. Although nowadays it doesn’t need to be all about being with your partner but can also be the chance to spend some quality time with friends or family. However, picking something fun to do can be challenging, so we have made it that bit easier by giving some great options on where to spend your Valentine’s this year.

1. Mini Golf – Choosing an activity opposed to the usual dinner date can be especially fun to do, bringing out our more competitive sides. Something active is perfect in terms of enjoying each others company while causing havoc around the course.

2. Cinema – A cinema date can never go a miss and is a more relaxing environment in contrast to mini golf.  With the movies being more expensive nowadays, it can be seen as more exciting, being made into a great day out. For me, nothing beats getting a pick “n” mix and a huge bag of popcorn to indulge in throughout the film.

3. Night away – If you are really wanting to go all out this Valentines Day, a romantic escape is perfect. Even if its only to another city for the night, its a great way to get away from busy life and take some time out.

4. Spa Day – A day at the spa is always a good idea for couples who want to get properly pampered in the calming environment of the spa with a sauna and pool only a minute away. Some TLC is crucial in relationships and even better on a Valentine’s.

How to achieve your New Years Resolutions

2020 has arrived and it seems that now is the perfect opportunity to do all the things we wanted to last year, but didn’t make the time for. Maybe you have dreams you want to conquer or places you want to visit. Or it can be as simple as always making your bed in the morning. Here is some easy steps to make sure that this year, you are the best version of yourself.

  1. Write your resolutions down. Most of the time we forget the goals that we make for ourselves and get distracted by other things. However, when you write them somewhere, the likelihood of being reminded that this is something you would like to achieve is higher.

2. Turn it into habit. It’s important to point out that goals aren’t achieved overnight but happen over a period of time. Therefore, make sure that every day you work on it to make it part of your daily routine. Hopefully it will end up becoming second nature.

3. Don’t give yourself too much work to do. Having a two page list of resolutions isn’t realistic and can be overwhelming. An idea could be to only give yourself 3 at a time and then if you succeed, add a few more.

4. Keep going!! The sure way to check off all your resolutions is to not give up. Make a point to create time to achieve everything you want to in the year. There is no better feeling than finishing 2020 knowing that you were able to do everything you wanted.

Instagram Tricks

In this day and age it seems like everyone is on Instagram and in many ways that’s true with their being 1 billion users. Bloggers always have very aesthetically pleasing feeds that seem impossible to obtain. However, it’s actually not that hard to reach a wider audience or just make your page look more put together.

Your bio for Instagram is one of the first things someone will see when they click on your profile. Instead of keeping with the more basic fonts already there by default, there are websites that allow you to put in the text and find different fonts that you might want to use. This is an easy way to stand out even if its a small change to make.

People who follow you tend to like consistency. So ensure that you are uploading regularly or even have scheduled posts ready. Also, by switching to a business profile there are more features available than using a private profile. Here you can access insights which tell you about who views your page, where your audiences tend to be from and age groups. It also shows the best days and times for you to upload.

Creating Instagram ads is effective as it promotes your posts and lets more people who wouldn’t usually stumble across your page, be aware of your account.

If you are really wanting to reach Instagram influencer level you could contact brands that may have the same interests as you and will appeal to your following. Brand deals tend to be the heart of Instagram bloggers and how they get their name out there, so making an effort to try create partnerships with companies that have a bigger reach than you do, is essential.

Beauty Hacks

We all love makeup that will last throughout the day and give the same flawless affect as when we first applied it. Also the fact that we tend to welcome quicker beauty hacks to make life just that little bit easier.

Here are some of the best makeup tricks:

COLOUR MATCH:

Everyone wants to avoid the famous foundation line making it obvious that your makeup doesn’t match the rest of your body. A good way to make sure this doesn’t happen is to swatch the foundation on your neck or the rest of your body to ensure that it’s not either too dark or too light.

EXFOLIATE:

With Christmas round the corner it’s the prime time to get the red lipstick out. However, sometimes when applying darker or brighter colour’s it tends to highlight any lumps and bumps of dry skin. To make it go on perfectly don’t forget to exfoliate your lips whether that’s with an actual lip scrub or you could even use a toothbrush as they both have the same affect.

USE A SPOON FOR APPLYING YOUR WINGED LINER:

As we all know it’s very hard to get the sharpest winged liner first try. Usually we sit for what feels like hours trying to make each wing look identical to each other. However, this hack makes it 10x easier for your eyes to look cat-like with a simple stroke along the rim of a spoon. This can also help with de-puffing if you leave it in the fridge overnight.

EMPHASISE YOUR CUPIDS BOW WITH AN “X” SHAPE:

This is a great way to get the Rihanna style lip shape by crossing an x with your desired lip liner

Christmas Gift Guide

As we all know Christmas is the season of giving but also comes with the stress of thinking up gifts to give your loved ones. Here is a full proof selection of some ideas to put under the tree this year.

Top Tip: Start where the main thought-process has already been done for you, gift sets. The holy-grail for lazy people like me. Sites like Cult Beauty are great at bringing you an array of products at a reasonable price aiming to please the likes of your best friend or mum. Creating a hamper of lots of little things that won’t break the bank but are made specifically for that person is also a great idea. If you’re really wanting to splurge on someone who is a true makeup lover the Charlotte Tilbury “Glittery Galaxy of Makeup Magic” (£150) provides 12 full size products and travel skincare. Although very luxurious it’s definitely something the person wouldn’t think of buying for themselves but would appreciate nonetheless. Other things include something personalised whether it’s simply a chocolate bar with their name on it or at the Perfume Shop you can engrave the bottle for an extra £6.

In terms of buying for your brother or dad think more about what interests them. If they are a massive football fan Soccer Star is a website that allows you to pick their favourite team and customise a magazine where they are the player winning the game. In my opinion anything funny or quirky is a perfect gift to give. Wanting to spend a bit more money? Buying a shiny new watch for someone like your dad is an amazing present or some new trainers that can never go a miss.
